My track Light at the end of the tunnel has won Instrumental of the year at the inaugural Charters Towers CM awards.

Tribute was paid to the late Val Rowe from the organisation Suicide Awareness. Val was a key figure in drawing attention to the issue of suicide. Sadly, Val passed away recently.

My track Light at the end of the tunnel is a finalist in the instrumental section of the inaugural Qld CM awards. Winners are announced April 30 in Charters Towers.

Michael has been nominated a finalist in the The Just Plain Folks Music Awards with Bush Bash in "solo guitar" category. These independent artist awards have grown into the largest Music Awards program in the world! They screen more than 350,000 songs and over 25,000 albums in 70+ genres from 100 Countries to honor the very best works of members. Judges include industry professionals, peers and music fans, and the sole criteria for judging is "Does it move you?" Winners announced August 29 in Nashville.
