Popular this month: the downloads link. You'll find TABs/notation available, the Noted! songbook, and I'll be adding new pieces in the coming months. A friend from Amsterdam (hi Caroline) has sent me footage from a concert I played in Amsterdam last year, which I've been posting on YouTube. Here's an example:

September/October news G'day everyone,
It's good to be home after such an intense tour, but I've got to say, it was the best tour yet. I will be returning to Europe in March, as well as October next year, planning is well underway.
I've been asked by friends "what were the highlights?" - that's hard for me to answer. The tour was full of highlights! The concerts with Adam Rafferty were wonderful, the enthusiasm of the audiences in Holland, annual meeting with friends...it was a memorable tour. Hat Trick is the band I spent my life with during the 80s. We've discovered some old footage of TV performances & I've been posting them on YouTube. Check these out!
Speaking of Hat Trick, we have recorded anew track, you can be the first to download it here (not available anywhere else yet!) It is called Restless and is 'classic Hat Trick': soaring violins and electric guitar over solid Rock shuffle groove. An interview I did with Tony Hillier appears in the July Rhythms magazine.
A nice feature story by Shaun Prescott, in July issue of Guitarist Australia
I feel incredibly humbled to have been voted by Guitarist Australia magazine readers as worthy to be included in the "25 Greatest Australian Guitarists" survey. I was shocked as well as delighted, as I've never been 'on the radar' in these kind of polls.
I'm still taking it all in. It caps of a month of fantastic reviews for the new Two Timing CD.
Thank you for voting!
Its all about spreading the word now...the new CD arrives at radio stations this week, has gone out to press, is being reviewed, twittered & facebooked...the one-man record company (me) is in marketing mode!

Some of my happiest musical moments are captured in these performances
Recording this album has been a total delight for me – sitting face to face with some of my favourite guitar players.
I do love the world of solo guitar, but there is something undeniably special about playing together with other musicians. I’m delighted to have been able to capture that on an album.
The new CD is almost ready for mastering, & I can reveal the title: "Two Timing"
The CD contains 15 duets, & players who perform with me include:
Tommy Emmanuel, Adam Rafferty, Stephen Bennett, Louie Shelton, Bruce Mathiske, Nick Charles, Brendan Radford, Jason McGregor, Andrea Valeri, Andrew Toner, Paul Robert Burton, Justin McCoy, Sam Shepherd.
Scheduled for release mid-April.
It's been a long wait (parcel from Germany went astray), but I finally have copies available of the DVD/songbook "Play like Michael Fix". Filming took place in Germany, October 2010, and is in English, as well as German. I perfom/analyse/de-construct 2 of my pieces Two left feet and Stringin' the blues. Shot with 3 cameras, all angles are covered, lots of detailed explanation, and additional exercises are included. Price AU$30.00 + post.
Visit the store at www.michaelfix.com to order your copy today!
I now have the Noted! songbook available for download, as well as individual titles. The complete book is A$20.00, the single titles A$2.50ea. Of course, there is no postage charge! You can purchase securely using PayPal. Please visit my store
